Greeters, Ushers and Ambassadors
• Sunday morning services and occasional memorials and special services
• Welcome members and guests – This can be a monthly or weekly pledge of service by email. The primary goal is to make people feel welcome and comfortable for worship, and oriented to our church.

Greeter (receptionist@kumconline.org)
• Extend a warm welcome and radical hospitality to everyone who enters Killearn UMC. Help each one feel at home. Answer questions, direct to Sunday School classes, Sanctuary,  Kids and Youth areas. Offer personal assistance as needed.
• Choose to serve at one of the following areas on Sunday morning:
– In the Sanctuary narthex handing out bulletins
– In front of the entrance to the Sanctuary or in the
Courtyard
– In or near the parking lot
• Greeting people at the Welcome Center and handing out information .
• Time: 20–30 minutes before a worship service begins on a rotating schedule

Usher
• Extend a warm welcome to all who enter Killearn UMC. Help each one feel at home. Assist people with finding their way around the Sanctuary as needed, collect offering and place in drop safe, direct and assist worshippers during special parts of the worship service (communion, imposition of ashes, alter call, baptism).
• Time: 1.5 hours each Sunday that you serve on a rotating schedule

• Passing out communion elements
• Time: 3-4 times per year (once a month)

Prayer Ministry and Team
• Service as needed to maintain our “Prayer Room” and create an atmosphere of reverence.
• A weekly pledge of Prayer for the Body. Our Prayer Team agrees to be discrete with the personal prayer requests that they receive by email on a weekly basis.
Special Delivery – Represents a team of men and women who write notes of love and encouragement to members of our congregation, and visitors.

Stephen Ministry
• Stephen Ministry is a program of our congregation that equips lay persons to provide distinctively Christian and confidential one-to-one care to those who are experiencing all kinds of life needs and circumstances.

Bereavement Committee
• Provide refreshments and service for Funeral/Memorial Services; to include, serve and clean up. Also, offer to provide a meal for the grieving family, where they gather together privately.

Family Care
• Primarily Meals provided for families after hospital stays. Occasionally other “hands-on” help, like pet-care, mail pick-up, and phone calls.
