We believe every child is made in the image of God. We want to create an environment where children are introduced to God and learn about God's great love for each one us through music, Bible stories, small group activities and discussion, and by building healthy relationships with each other and the adults who lead them. We believe we can have a greater impact on children when we partner with parents to present Christ in an age-appropriate way, help children grow in their faith, and equip them to eventually share their faith with others.

Sunday Mornings
We would love to have you worship with us this Sunday! All of our programs are in the Wesley Building, located on the north side of the Sanctuary.
At 9:30 AM and 11 AM, each age group from Nursery through 5th grade has age-appropriate Sunday School for the hour.
There are signs directing First Time Guests to the Nursery entrance where ALL children enter the Wesley Children’s Building.

Nursery
6 weeks - 3 years (on or before Sept. 1)
We provide nursery care and Biblical teaching to children during the 9:30 AM and 11 AM Sunday morning worship services. Children are split up by their age in the nursery. Our paid nursery staff have been background screened and trained to provide age-appropriate activities for children.
In addition to learning about God, children who are walking get to play outside (weather permitting) on the fenced-in playground. All of the children are offered a snack, provided either by their parent or by the nursery staff. The nursery staff is very consistent; they have the opportunity to form relationships with your children and help them learn and grow.
For more information, contact Amanda Blanton at ablanton@kumconline.org or (850) 893-1116.

Preschool
3 years - Kindergarten
Everything we teach your preschoolers in First Look is based on one of three simple, but powerful, truths. Our programs are constructed to meet your preschoolers where they are cognitively, spiritually, physically, emotionally and socially. Through age appropriate activities, preschoolers are building their spiritual foundation so that by the time they graduate Kindergarten they know these three basic truths:
God Made Me
God Loves Me
Jesus Wants To Be My Friend Forever
For more information, contact Theresa Savage, tsavage@kumconline.org or 850-893-1116.

UpStreet
Elementary Grades 1 - 4
Everything we teach in UpStreet is based on one of three basic, but powerful, truths modeled by Jesus in Luke 2:52.
I need to make the wise choice.
I can trust God no matter what.
I should treat others the way I want to be treated.
Our program is designed to provoke discovery and invite your kids into a new understanding of how to grow in relationship with Jesus. We do this through Large Group worship and teaching, and age-specific activities and discussion.
For more information, contact Mandi Lane at mlane@kumconline.org.

The Bridge
Elementary Grade 5
We realize 5th graders are not quite little kids and not quite middle schoolers. We want to help 5th graders prepare to transition to Killearn Student Ministries by developing faith foundations, learning how to relate to God and the Church, engaging in faith traditions and discovering ways to live out their faith. At 9:30 AM , we offer a preteen group for 5th and 6th graders, separate from the younger kids.

Community Groups
MOPS and MOMSnext
Connect with a community of women who gather to laugh, cry and embrace the journey of motherhood. MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) encourages and equips moms of young children to realize their potential as mothers, women and leaders, in relationship with Jesus, and in partnership with the local church. MOMSnext is a similar community designed for meeting the needs of moms with school-aged children.

Mentoring for Leon County Students
Leon County Schools is recruiting mentors for the 2022-2023 school year. Students are matched one-on-one with mentors and meet once a week from September-April. The mentor provides academic assistance, guidance, support and encouragement to the mentee. Mentors play a vital role in inspiring students to realize their goals and reach their full potential. The time commitment is usually between 30-45 minutes each week.
Mentors are needed for kids in all grades. As part of our commitment to the school, KUMC members and staff have mentored children at Ruediger Elementary School. This year, in addition to Ruediger, we'd like to encourage you to mentor at the middle school and high school levels, if that age group would be better for you. By serving in this capacity, you will most certainly make a positive difference in the life of a student.
