During this season of Lent, we are inviting you to share in this online conversation together. My hope is this dialogue will help us grow closer together in Christ as we engage in the Lenten journey around the themes of confession, repentance, and spiritual transformation.
We will talk about a variety of things as we embark on this soulful journey. We will engage in some spiritual conversation about Lent, we will discuss aspects of our Sunday morning sermons, and we will peel back the layers on banded discipleship. It’s going to be an eclectic conversation to help us grow in the way of Jesus.
Over these next 40 days . . . Well, it is actually 46 days. We traditionally exclude the Sundays from Ash Wednesday to Easter as a way of symbolizing a break in the Lenten fast. Every Sunday it thought to be a day of resurrection - a mini Easter of sorts. So if you feel called to engage in fasting this Lent, you are invited to break your fast on Sundays as we worship together as a church family.
Over these next 40 days of Lent, we will explore how we are actually doing on a soul level. We will press into how you are really feeling. Focusing on your emotional health and spiritual health. Hopefully, we will development a deeper awareness about what God is doing in your life right now.
Welcome to Lent - it all begin on Wednesday, March 2 on a day we call Ash Wednesday. We will have an outdoor prayer walk available from 8:00am until 6:30pm as we begin this season.  We will also have Ash Wednesday worship at 6:30pm in the sanctuary and on our livestream online as we prepare for a season of soul searching together.
Our first blog post will be Out of the Ashes. Thank you for joining us on this journey!
In His Grip,
Mike Toluba
